Mobility has gradually recovered in recent weeks and the with the change of stage the following measures have been adapted:

More public transport

TMB will be providing additional transport to adapt to needs. The metro network will be running at 92% of its capacity during the morning rush hour and 83% on average during the rest of the day. As for buses, the average circulation will be 70%, with increases of up to 80% on mainline routes during rush hours.

For the rest of public transport: FGC rail services will be running at 80% capacity overall, with 100% services during rush hours: RENFE local trains will be offering 94% and the Tram 80%, with 100% services on the Trambaix network during rush hours. AMB metropolitan buses and the inter-urban bus operated by the Government of Catalonia will be running 80% of their daytime services and 50% of night-time services, and the AMTU urban bus will be running between 80% and 100%, depending on municipality.

Usual regulations for loading and unloading

In connection with private vehicles and the distribution of goods, the change of stage means the usual regulations will once again apply.

On-street parking and enforcement of regulations resumes

Regulations on parking once again apply and at the same time the new on-street parking rates come into effect. The new pricing takes into account the environmental ratings of vehicles when determining the cost of parking in the street.

New environmental parking rates

The new environmental rates take into account the criteria of the Directorate-General for Traffic (DGT) to assess the level of pollution of vehicles in green and blue on-street parking areas:

  • Zero emissions vehicles can park for free in blue areas for the maximum time stipulated. All local residents awarded the discount of 0,20 euros for good driving prior to 31 December 2019 will still be entitled to this until the end of the year.
  • Blue area parking will also be controlled in the middle of the day, from 2 pm to 4 pm. Misuse of the service will also be penalised, and the cost of cancelling denouncements will rise from 7 to 9 euros.
  • Prices will also be updated for parking areas for buses, used for regulating the parking of coaches in public roads. The increase applies in both blue A and blue B areas, with Eco badge-holder vehicles to get a 100% discount in both types of area.
  • The price for the logistics platform for the Park Güell (18 euros per 90 minutes) and the BSM car parks at the Estació d’Autobusos Barcelona Nord, Moll d’Espanya and Garcia Fària, will also be updated, with differences between daytime and night-time rates.

Installation of new parking meters concludes

These changes coincide with the installation of 2,073 new parking meters, now concluded, which offer improvements for users and a more modern and accessible design featuring contactless technology.
