The 25th anniversary of the Games, at the Olympic Forum 2017
jocsBCN92. On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Barcelona '92, the Forum conferences aim to show how Barcelona has fostered a change in the Olympic world over the last quarter of a century.
The 26th and 27th of October, the INEFC will celebrate the twelfth edition of the 2017 Olympic Forum, a conference organized biennially from 1995, with the objective of reflecting on a current theme in relation to the sport, in order to find ways of solution.
As part of the 25th anniversary celebrations of the Barcelona ’92 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the central theme of the Forum will be what happened in the summer of ’92 and what that meant for our city and its people.
During the first day, the invited institutions will analyse various aspects of the Olympic Games, including its organisation and its short and long-term results. The Agenda 2000, the strategy to be followed by the International Olympic Committee and the future of the Olympic movement will also be discussed.
The second day will be exclusively dedicated to the legacy of Barcelona ’92. A perspective, 25 years later, on the current state of 4 basic areas: the management of facilities, tourism, the Paralympic movement and sports people.
