The 25th anniversary of the Olympic Games is playing a central role at the 36th Basque Pelota TICB competition

Pelota. The Basque Pelota City of Barcelona International Trophy takes place this Saturday, 14 September, at 5.30 pm, during which homage will be paid to the 1992 Olympic Pelota Champions.

A new City of Barcelona International Trophy (TICB) is coming to town, this Saturday, 14 October. We are talking about the men’s Basque Pelota, which is taking place against the Fronton at the CEM Olímpics Vall d’Hebron (Pg. Vall d’Hebron, nº 166-176) at 5.30 pm.

This year the Basque Pelota TICB promises to be even more special than ever and that’s because it is being held under the framework of the 25th anniversary of the Barcelona Olympic and Paralympic Games, where Basque Pelota was one of the exhibition sports. And that’s why the event will be seeing homage paid to the 1992 Olympic champions at the same venue this competition took place in during the 1992 Games.

As for the competition section, the Championship represents a knock-out round for the professional 4 and 1/2 championships, with the stellar Bengoetxea VI – Albisu i Olaizola II – Larunbe match. Tickets will cost 25 euros for anyone over the age of 14.
