Now, here schools

“Now, here – schools for sustainable food” was an initiative promoted jointly with the Barcelona Education Consortium, and aimed at primary, secondary and special education schools in the city. With the aim of encouraging the participation of children and young people in the food debate generated within the framework of the World Capital of Sustainable Food, schools were challenged to design a poster that would motivate society to adopt a shared commitment to a healthier, fairer, and more sustainable food system. All the submissions were exhibited in the City Hall foyer for a week, and have been compiled in a digital catalogue.

In addition to this project, Barcelona’s year as World Capital of Sustainable Food has made it possible to reinforce and implement multiple educational projects to promote the values of sustainable food in schools.
