Advice

Organisations and companies

  • Barcelona Activa offers technical advice, entrepreneurship programmes and an expert business funding advice service. In addition, Barcelona Activa has specialised in the social and solidarity economy, a booming, socially responsible sector that values and is based on healthy, sustainable food.
  • The public community space Agròpolis is also worth bearing in mind. It is promoted by Barcelona City Council to encourage dialogue, work and action among civil society, economic stakeholders, universities and the municipal public authority, which share the common goal of collaborating to transform Barcelona’s food system through the values of food sovereignty and agroecology.

Education community

  • The education community can benefit from all the educational programmes that the Department currently has under way.

Contracting bodies in the City Council

  • The Department advises the City Council’s contracting bodies to encourage them to adopt health and sustainability criteria in public food procurement tenders.
