Municipal Healthy and Sustainable Food Action Plan

The Barcelona Healthy and Sustainable Food Strategy 2030 (EASSB2030) was launched in 2021 to transform the city’s food system  The EASSB2030 defines goals, lines of work and consensual initiatives with stakeholders in Barcelona’s food system and different sectors and phases in the food chain.  This document presents Barcelona City Council’s Municipal Healthy and Sustainable Food Action Plan (PAMASS) for the years 2023–2024, which contains the series of projects and initiatives that were undertaken in 2023 and are planned for 2024 by the different units, bodies, districts and organisations in charge to contribute to achieving the goals set by the EASSB2030 and transforming the food system.

Sustainable food is crucial for a future in which people, the planet and regions prosper together. It entails producing, transforming, selling, buying and consuming foods in a way that creates prosperity, promotes social justice and protects our natural resources.
