A weekend to experience Montjuïc intensely

08/09/2022 - 16:45 h

The second edition of “Viu Montjuïc, el Parc de la Cultura” will bring more than 60 activities to this part of the city on the weekend of 8 and 9 October. The event aims to position Montjuïc Park as an open, accessible, clean and safe space with a quality cultural, nature and leisure offer for all people.

Around thirty Montjuïc facilities are joining forces to carry out activities and joint actions in co-creation and collaboration with each other, thus offering the people of Barcelona a new opportunity to rediscover the Park and make it their own. There will be guided tours of the Park, open-door days and guided tours of the facilities, as well as music, dance and theatre performances. This year’s edition includes a restaurant area in the Joan Brossa gardens. You will not need to register in advance, except in cases where the nature of the activity itself has limited capacity.

This year, in addition to the 22 co-organisers of the initial project, other cultural organisations from the neighbouring districts of the Park that are part of the Poble-sec Community Culture Committee and the Marina Culture and Memory Axis (with the support of their respective Community Development Plans), as well as the Jam Session Music Centre of the Font de la Guatlla neighbourhood, are fully incorporated into “Viu Montjuïc, el Parc de la Cultura”. The first edition of “Viu Montjuïc” was held in October 2021 and was attended by 37,000 people.

The programme of the second edition will be available from 29 September at this link.
