Özgür Güneş Öztürk is a graduate in Labour Economics and Industrial Relations from the University of Gazi,(Turkey), with a Master's degree in Migrations and Social Mediation from the University of Lleida (UdL).

She is currently an associate professor in the Department of Geography and Sociology at the UdL and collaborating lecturer on the Master's in Social Policies and Community Action at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB).

She is a founding member of the Col·lectivaT cooperative.
