With roots in England and South Africa, Brighton-based musician Ed Marais is an atypical musician. His musical project EJ Marais recently made its debut with Cuts, co-produced by Ekhi Lopetegui from the band Delorean, which combines piano ballads and vocals with modern production, using sampled rhythms, atmospheric pads, percussions and bass lines typical of urban music.
