Neighbourhood Climate Plan
The Neighbourhood Climate Plan, part of the broader Climate Plan, is the municipal strategy aimed at reducing socio-environmental inequalities and improving city residents’ quality of life in the context of climate change.
Barcelona is already experiencing the effects of climate change, with more frequent extreme temperatures and a significant decrease in rainfall. This situation particularly affects lower-income neighbourhoods, where climate vulnerability is compounded by energy poverty, job insecurity and a lack of green infrastructure.
