Co-creation sessions for science policies
Three virtual workshops for the involvement of citizens in the creation of scientific events.
This September, the Barcelona Science programme of the Institute of Culture of Barcelona has organised three virtual co-creation sessions to involve citizens in the making process of the city's scientific policy. The workshops will be leaded by La Mandarina de Newton on 29 and 30 September and will last for two hours. They will be open to anyone interested over the age of 18. Participation is free of charge but limited and will be granted in order of registration, which can be formalised by choosing one of the three following times and filling the form below:
- 29 September, from 4.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.
- 30 September, from 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.
- 30 September, from 4.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.
The sessions aim to involve the public in the making process of the city's scientific policies, and in the decision-making process for dissemination activities. They also intend to explain science in a way that it can be understood by all audiences. To achieve these objectives, the workshops will be based on a process of collective, visual and virtual co-creation, following processes of the methodology called Design Thinking.
Through these sessions, new activities and events will be created to make innovation, research and scientific culture in general accessible to all.
