Barcelona Science Plan
What is?
The new Barcelona Science Plan for 2020-2023 is aimed at launching a science and university policy in the city area and turning it into the European capital for research and innovation. The plan was drafted through collaboration and consensus between the city’s scientific community — thanks to the Scientific Advisory Council —, research centres, companies, universities, authorities and city residents taking part in it.
It is organised into four areas: Barcelona, city of science in Europe; research for taking on the city’s challenges; scientific culture for and with city residents; and science, art, innovation and society.
