Since the first observations of the heavens by our ancestors, space exploration and study of the cosmos has become incredibly sophisticated. Today we know that everything comes from a beginning, around 13,700 million years ago, and that the universe is expanding at an increasing rate. We have detected thousands of planets in other solar systems, walked on the Moon, taken pictures of a black hole for the first time and identified the most elementary particles that make up matter. We have discovered a great many answers about the universe but each one brings up new unknowns. The universe is finite but knowledge has no limits.
