¿Do you want to discover how you can improve your city using citizen science?
On the afternoon of October 20th we will celebrate Citizen Science Day , a day to learn about projects in which everyone can get involved to care for, explore, and transform our environment.
Citizen science is a way of conducting research open to all: people of all ages can collaborate with scientific teams by collecting data, making observations, or analyzing results with the goal fo conducting real-world research. Science doesn’t just happen in laboratories, but also in the streets, Parks, and neighborhoods.
During the event, you will be able to hear firsthand from people promoting projects on biodiversity, sound heritage, health, and the impact of heat—topics that affect us all. Attendees will be able to learn about more than 10 citizen science projects, discover how the research teams work, and interact with them in a friendly and participatory environment.
The Sagrada Família Library opens its doors to Citizen Science and becomes a meeting place for research projects and citizens.
Citizen Science Day is organized by the Barcelona Citizen Science Office, in collaboration with the Sagrada Família Library, and will take place on October 20th, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in the library auditorium.
