Escolab Meets IIB Sant Pau
We visit the Sant Pau Biomedical Research Institute, a research centre whose aim is to improve the human health through biomedical research. Its proximity to the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau allows it to act as a bridge between basic research and clinical practice. Marta Querol and Paula Ferrer explain their research into neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease. We will see how they carry out their research and the changes that occur in the brain in people with this disease, causing neuronal death and memory loss.
