Over twenty facilities around the Parc de Montjuïc will be organising activities on 16 and 17 October, with guided routes, participatory projects, clue trails, concerts and dance and theatre shows for all tastes and ages.
The idea is for Viu Montjuïc to become an annual event, and in this first edition there will be over seventy activities for people to rediscover the park, be more aware of its facilities and enjoy its green spaces, sports facilities and recreational opportunities. Advance booking is required to take part. The registration period opens on Monday, 4 October, at 4 pm, on the website https://www.barcelona.cat/viumontjuic, where you’ll find the full programme.
Viu Montjuïc is a collaborative initiative, jointly organised and funded by the participating facilities, the District of Sants-Montjuïc, the Barcelona Institute of Culture and the Directorate for Tourism and Creative Industries, which through the tourist tax aim to promote initiatives to improve leisure and the enjoyment of quality green and cultural space. In addition, the initiative is part of the Action Plan for the Parc de Montjuïc 2019-2029, created with social and cultural entities and local people, to promote cultural activity in the park, create new spaces there for shared use and establish synergies between facilities, the goal being to regain the spirit of the International Expo of 1929.
