Deadline extended for submission of the 2020 Collide Award
04 December 2020
Art and science. Registration for a shared three-month residency at CERN (Geneva) and at the Hangar creation factory (Barcelona) is open until the 14th of December.
A new edition of the Collide Prize was announced on the 27t of October, which for the second year awards a combined residency at the European Laboratory for Particle Physics (CERN in Geneva) and at a creation factory in Barcelona. Now, the deadline for registration has been extended to Monday 14 December.
The Collide Prize invites artists and groups to develop a project proposal with the aforementioned combined residency in Geneva and Barcelona. This year, the stay in Barcelona will take place at the Hangar creation factory, Centre for Production and Research in the Visual Arts. The two residences are the result of the alliance established between CERN, the Institute of Culture of Barcelona and Barcelona City Council from 2019 to 2021, also within the framework of one of the strategic axes of the Barcelona Science Plan.
Applicants must combine a description of their artistic practices and interests with their perception of science and how CERN deals with the major issues surrounding the study of the universe. The deadline for registration ends on the 14th of December.
