ENDO-HIT
The ENDO-HIT project aims to improve the early detection of endometriosis in the adolescent population.
It is aimed at students in 3rd and 4th years of ESO and High School, who actively participate in research based on the collection and analysis of demographic data in their school. The project offers tools to identify symptoms compatible with gynecological diseases such as endometriosis, a benign disease that is often invisible, which can begin in adolescence.
Through didactic interventions in the classroom, and with a multidisciplinary approach, it seeks to improve knowledge about menstrual health and break the taboo of menstrual pain from adolescence, as well as evaluate the impact and acceptance of this training resource in menstrual education in secondary school. At the same time, demographic data is collected to describe the reality of menstrual pain and endometriosis in adolescents in Catalonia, actively involving the educational and healthcare community to improve knowledge, early detection and menstrual education in Catalonia. A collaborative initiative that unites health, education and community.
