The guide in Spanish 'Ciencia Ciudadana y Aprendizaje Servicio’ has been published
21 January 2021
The guide proposes synergies in favour of a more democratic science and a more committed education
The Barcelona Citizen Science Office, the Ibercivis Foundation, and the Association Centre Promotor d'Aprenentatge Servei have presented today the Spanish version of the guide Ciencia Ciudadana y Aprendizaje Servicio, in an online event where some successful research projects in which citizen science and service learning combine have been shown.
Last spring, the guide Ciència ciutadana i aprenentatge servei was published in Catalan, identifying the common elements between citizen science and service learning. At the same time, it also promotes the creation of proposals to create synergies that encourage the participation of boys and girls in the production of new knowledge and its use to improve the life of the community.
The guide was written by the Barcelona Office of Citizen Science and the Association Centre Promotor d'Aprenentatge Servei from the contents of a conference organized by the Barcelona Institute of Culture in 2019. In the past few months, the document has been translated into Spanish and presented this evening in the event organized together with the Ibercivis Foundation, an entity that has included the document in the resources and guides section of its website and collaborates with the promotion of the guide within the citizen science community of Spain and Latin America.
