Synopsis
Brazil, 1971. A country in the grip of a military dictatorship. A mother is forced to reinvent herself when her family's life is shattered by an act of arbitrary violence. Based on the memoirs of Marcelo Rubens Paiva. The film tells how a mother is forced to participate in political activism when her husband, leftist congressman Rubens Paiva, is captured by the regime during Brazil's military dictatorship in 1971.
