Christmas in Plaça Catalunya + New Year Chimes celebrations

Between 20 and 31 December, Plaça de Catalunya becomes a place for joining in with the Christmas festivities. A magical city where you’ll find free activities for all ages and where you can enjoy the festivities without boosting the more consumerist aspects. From 9.30 pm on 31 December, we see out the old year with a huge event on Avinguda de la Reina Maria Cristina by Group F, one of the great international fireworks shows and open-air theatre companies. More information.
