Exhibition: “Bermejo. The Rebel Genius of the Fifteenth Century”

Bartolomé de Cárdenas, “El Bermejo”, is considered to be one of the most “Flemish” painters on the Iberian Peninsula. His extraordinary technical skill made him one of the most widely-known artists of the fifteenth century. Until 19 May, the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya is devoting an exhibition solely to him with some essential works, most notably the recently-restored Pietat Desplà. More information.
