Frederic Marès Library and Study

In late 2018, the new museum presentation of the Frederic Marès Library and Study was opened during the events to mark 70 years since the opening of the Frederic Marès Museum. This is where Frederic Marès (Portbou, 1893 – Barcelona, 1991) had his personal office and his library. It also houses a representative selection of his sculptural work, which he donated to the city of Barcelona in 1988. The space was expressly designed in 1964 and was not open to visitors until 1996, five years after his death. More information. See transcription.
