Poster of the 28th Mostra Internacional de Films de Mujeres of Barcelona

The 28th Mostra Internacional de Films de Mujeres adapts to the moment and will be accessible to be screening at every household

Thanks to the collaboration with the Filmin platform; this year for the first time, the show can be enjoyed from home.

Because of the containment measures stablished due to Covid-19, the first part of the 28th

Mostra Internacional de Films de Mujeres of Barcelona is being adapted to the situation and transformed into an online programme, thanks to the collaboration with Filmin.

Between the 1st and the 14th of June, for the first time in the entire State, the Mostra will digitally portray an overview of contemporary cinema directed by women, monographs from essential filmmakers, suggestions for the youngest members of the family and side events and activities that will make the directors of this first part of the 2020 edition very present.

During the first fortnight of June, viewers will be able to watch documentaries by the Colombian Marta Rodríguez, a pioneer in this area in Latin America. A session dedicated to Ursula K. Le Guin is also suggested.  She is the forerunner of feminist science fiction and a daring storyteller creating utopian worlds. This session will consist in a screening and a podcast about her.

In the panoramic section, clearly marked by the feminist viewpoint of the participating directors, a total of seventeen feature films and short movies can be found, supplemented by two films for child audiences and  related online activities.
