3rd Rei de la Màgia (King of Magic) Festival

From the 16th to the 19th of April in the theatre-museum El Rei de la Màgia the festival will bring together magicians, illusionists, performances and workshops

With a preamble to be held on Wednesday the 15th of April in the form of an introductory presentation by Gema Navarro entitled Història de magues antigues i modernes (The history of ancient and modern magicians) followed by a Magic Jam Session led by Gabi Pareras, the 3rd edition of the Festival El Rei de la Màgia will kick off properly on Thursday the 16th in the theatre-museum of the same name with an inaugural gala beginning at 9 pm and featuring Pep Bou, Fakir Kirman, mentalist Luís Pardo and Llum and Gina Canals of the Xavier Giro Company. For three days running El Rei de la Màgia will be the setting for a series of performances and magic and illusion workshops by musicians from throughout the peninsula.

The Close-Up Magic Gala on Friday the 17th of April will feature Galician magician Román García, young Andalusian magician Mario López and experienced Madrid-born magician Alberto de Figueiredo, while Saturday the 18th will offer a morning workshop by Ramón García entitled Close magic and creativity and an evening session by Alberto de Figueiredo entitled Card magic. Following these, Nano Màrquez will act as MC for a two-session gala (one at 5 pm, the other at 9 pm) featuring the likes of Román García, Tania, the Mag Marín Company and Gema Navarro. The Rei de la Màgia late night show, beginning at midnight, will feature Gabi Pareras and Tot Màgia.

The festival will close on Sunday the 19th with performances by Jaime Figueroa, G. Alexander and El Rei de la Màgia Magic Company in two further sessions at 12 midday and 6 pm.
