The 4th OjodePez Photo Meeting Barcelona is just around the corner

This festival will take place from the 11th to the 13th of June in La Virreina Centre de la Imatge and will bring together the best in documentary photograph

Originally inspired by the magazine OjodePez (Fish-eye), the OjodePez Photo Meeting Barcelona is an international photographer’s event intended to promote dialog among specialists and amateurs from the documentary photography genre.

In this, the 4th edition, the festival uses as a springboard the exhibition The Non-Conformists, by Martin Parr, which can be seen in La Virreina Centre de la Imatge up until the end of July, and will approach documentary photography from a more individual, ironic and non-conformist perspective with the aid of presentations by Joan Fontcuberta, Txema Salvans, Martin Kollar, Stanislas Guigui, Raphaël Dallaporta and Martin Parr himself.

Some of the events programmed over the three days in an attempt to bring together some of the biggest names in documentary photography include a workshop given by Luis Baylon, a face-to-face debate featuring Óscar Monzón and Iñaki Domingo, a debate on digital publications and free conferences presented by Martin Parr, Txema Salvans, Luis Baylon and David Balsells. The OjodePez Photo Meeting not only includes the best from the world of documentary photography but also aims to establish productive dialog among professionals and collaboration among galleries and museums.

The festival will take place on the 11th, 12th and 13th of June in La Virreina Centre de la Imatge. Inscriptions are priced at 60€ and 150€, depending on the modalities. For more information, follow this link.
