Albert Guinovart stars in the reopening of the Palau de la Música Catalana on July 1st

22 summer concerts have been scheduled until September 15th.

The Palau de la Música Catalana will reopen its doors on July 1st with el cicle Estiu al Palau 2020, which includes 22 concerts until September 15th.  It will be inaugured with a recital by Albert Guinovart of pieces from Chopin, Granados as well as his own work.

What's new are four concerts in soloist format with pianists Marco Mezquida, Noelia Rodiles and Maria Canyigueral and organist Juan de la Rubia. Dani Espasa and Lina Tur Bonet, Ramon Bassal and Marc Piqué, Joel Bardolet and Marc Heredia, Serena Sáenz and Ricardo Estrada, and Mercedes Gancedo with Beatriz Miralles will perform in a duo format. And tenor Ian Bostridge will make his debut, with Igor Levit on the piano. In addition, in a co-production with the Grec Festival, the Orquesta Sinfónica del Gran Teatre del Liceu will perform

The series also includes 6 concerts already programmed - the Cosmos Quartet, the Gerhard Quartet and the pianists Carlos Marigó, Schaghajech Nosrati, Enrique Bagaría and Daumants Liepiņš - and 4 concerts that had to be cancelled, the Goldmund Quartet, "Vespers of 'Arnadí "and" Marvellous Mahler!

As for the guided architectural tours, priority will be given to the new Free Tour, a tour with audio guides that can be downloaded onto mobile devices. The Guided Tour, the Live Tour, the Inspired Tour, the Family Tour and the Accessible Tour will also be activated.
