Remembering the 2019 exhibitions of the Arts Santa Mònica

The year 2019, exhibition-wise, of the Arts Santa Mònica was a palindrome in a way, since at the beginning of the year it inaugurated an exhibition dedicated to the 50 years of the Folk Group and at the end it opened with an exhibition on Lluís Llach’s trajectory. Therefore, two exhibitions related to well-known names in Catalan music. In between - or at the same time, the Arts Santa Mònica has several rooms and different exhibitions can coincide at the same time - those who crossed its door were able to follow an exhibition around the figure of the poet, essayist, theater translator and art critic Vicenç Altaió, an exhibition with portraits of elderly women from different cultures, a video installation by the filmmaker and artist Isaki Lacuesta, or the one entitled El desig de creure, about the construction of illusions, among others. Temporary exhibitions, as their name suggests, have a specific duration, but thanks to video recordings we can at least remember them, or, if we didn't visit them, get an idea of what it was like.
