Barcelona Novel·la Històrica turns the Autumn into a literary party

Born Cultural Centre is the historic site where pages, characters and events are relived through talks, meetings and literary tours, from 3 to 7 November

As every November, the lovers of the historical novel  are gathered at Born Cultural Centre. Barcelona Novel·la Històrica  is one of the best organized literary festivals, and so brings together Barcelona's many fans of the genre.

With the idea to approach the past with a clever combination of rigor and imagination, the historical novel is fascinating for many, because it gives us clues about the societies and contexts that lead to our present.

The activites programme of Barcelona Novel·la Històrica is diverse and appealing, as is usual in this event. During the 5 days of the event, we can attend panel discussions about the author and the historical facts, the past in the present, the historical documentary versus fiction or historical novel heroes, among others. These meetings are accompanied by a lecture on the swashbuckling film, talks about the techniques and the contexts of historical novels in libraries and the Ateneo School of writing, and even a walk through the Barcelona of the bandits planned on November 7.

In addition, the 5th of November at the Saló de Cent of Barcelona City Council it is provided the delivery of the III Premio Internacional de Novela Histórica Barcino for the novelist Simon Scarrow, a true historical bestseller generator.
