Barcelona Surf Festival

Barcelona Surf Festival, bigger than ever

The old Barcelona Surf Film Festival now incorporates many more activities, becoming an essential meeting point for anyone who loves to surf.

In 2013, the first Barcelona Surf Film Festival was held to resounding success. Over the years, the event has grown and, now in its sixth edition held this May, become the Barcelona Surf Festival. The new format intends to serve as a meeting point for a community with loads of followers: surfers. Whether you surf or just enjoy the characteristic lifestyle that surrounds this sport, you’ll feel at home at BSF. Over three days, the Barceloneta will fill with concerts, projections, chats, shops, exhibitions, food and, above all, good vibes. There will be performances by big names from the underground music scene, including Soren Manzoni, Lee Ann Curren, Pau Roca and Osen Twinz, to name just a few. The festival will also feature photo exhibitions, one of its founders’ obsessions, such as ‘It’s not only about the waves’ and ‘A land shaped by women’, among others. There will also be workshops on how to build, repair, maintain and paint surfboards, as well as activities associated with the environment like beach clean-ups. Loads of clothes, accessories and sustainability shops will be there, plus food trucks with the trendiest dishes.

Barcelona Surf Festival will take place on 7, 8 and 9 June, Friday and Saturday from 5 pm to 2 am and Sunday on from noon to 2 am. All of the activities will be outside Club Natació Barceloneta, right in front of the beach, the perfect place for this sort of event.

Day tickets cost €10 and for the whole 3-day event, €26. You can get yours on the Barcelona Surf Festival website.
