Brazil celebrates national day at Poble Espanyol
World-renowned artists are coming to Barcelona for one of the most important events of Brazilian culture in Spain.
The Festival of Brazilian Culture is now in its 11th year, having become one of the most important Brazilian events in Spain. The festival aims to showcase the huge diversity of this South-American country in our city, bringing world-renowned artists for us to enjoy. Barcelona, and specifically Poble Espanyol, will become little Brasilia for a few hours. The programme features a variety of shows, including the Brincadeira percussion ensemble and concerts by popular musicians like Paula Lima, Gerlane Lops and Ninha, the “Gogô de Oro de Timbalada”. Filipe Catto, with his multi-disciplinary music, and Lari Antunes will also be performing. Obviously, an event like this has to include samba, by Unidos dance school; capoeira, by Cordão de Ouro; and DJs Casa de Guerra and Golfo de Guinea.
You can celebrate Brazil’s National Day on Sunday 8 September from 1 pm to 11 pm, at Poble Espanyol on Montjuïc. In addition to the music, there will also be a selection of typical Brazilian food so you can taste their flavours. Children are welcome and there will be a kids’ area for them to play and have fun.
You can get your tickets for €6 or €11 with two drinks. Book yours on Atrápalo.
