Breton, in the BeCool

The band from London will be performing on the 8th of February

Having the British press on your side can be a great help, and there is often a very good reason for the wind to blow in your favour. In Breton’s case, the reasons can be clearly seen, and above all, heard: the raw material, i.e. the music, is their guarantee of success. While they have not yet had time to make a name for themselves beyond London’s most avid listeners’ circles, it is very likely that this will change radically over the coming weeks and months.

The concert on the 8th of February in the BeCool - a small venue by any standards - will probably mark a before and after in the band’s reception in Catalonia. The presentation of their latest recording, War Room Stories, promises to be a magical evening in which the more disturbing elements of pop and rock will have no trouble fusing with synthetic textures to demonstrate that Breton are, above all, a contemporary band with a healthy respect for tradition but who sound as though they belong to the present and the future - a future which, as we have said, will surely see them returning to our city to play in larger venues.
