Guided visits to Casa Rocamora of Casas Singulares

The singular house of Manuel Rocamora

Casas Singulares offers guided visits to Casa Rocamora twice a month between September and December.

Manuel Rocamora, son of Marcos Rocamora and heir to the family fortune, from the candle and soap production industry, was the owner of one of the houses in the Casas Singulares project: Casa Rocamora. During the months of September, October, November and December you have the opportunity to take a guided tour of this Elizabethan palace from the second half of the 19th century, including the living room, garden and library.

Rocamora did practically no reforms in the house after he bought it. He lived alone with a few service members and received visits almost daily from journalists and members of art and culture. His passion for these areas came from his mother Ana Vidal, who often took him to museums and exhibitions and introduced him to the world of collecting. Precisely, in the living room you can admire his collection of figureheads, as well as the important collection of fashion books kept in his library.

Visits will take place twice a month, on Thursdays and Saturdays, between September and December. Here you can buy tickets for the visits for 12 euros, which can be done in Spanish, at 10.30 a.m., or in Catalan, at 12 p.m. You can also make a reservation for groups of at least 15 people through their email casessingulars@casessingulars.com.
