Cinema created with AI

A festival to learn about the involvement of technology in creative processes in the world of filmmaking.

Artificial intelligence has fully entered our lives and, in time, it will eventually establish itself as one of the tools to make our lives easier. This technology has begun to have an impact even in the world of the arts, a field that it was supposed to never reach. The +RAIN Film Fest is the first European festival of audiovisual proposals generated with artificial intelligence. A cycle of international productions that will form part of this year's Sónar+D 2023 and will take place on Wednesday 14 June at the Poblenou campus of Barcelona's Pompeu Fabra University.

The implementation of technology can mean a before and after in the creative process, as the steps in creating stories can evolve drastically with the use of AI. The aim of the festival is based on exploring how filmic narrative can change, what the real possibilities are and if there are ethical, political or legal alterations while we use tools of this type for artistic purposes.

As for the line-up, the festival will feature creations such as January, Kiss/Crash, and Of Youth, some of the titles of the eleven proposals presented in the competition section of the event. In addition to the screenings, the day will feature talks, colloquiums, round tables and networking spaces, as well as musical spaces related to electronic music.

You can immerse yourself in the world of AI creations that coexist with the art of cinema, a perfect proposal to find out what the possibilities of the future are. All the information on this link.
