Reteena

New format for Reteena at Fabra i Coats

The Barcelona Film Festival for Young People is running for the second time and includes practical workshops and talks from professionals aimed at teenagers and young adults.

Reteena is a one-of-a-kind film festival. This is the Barcelona Film Festival for Young People, which is aimed at young people who are curious about the subject. It ran for the first time in January 2018 and now they've decided to change up the format, going in for more workshops and professional talks, creating a space for discovery, reflection and experimentation in new trends. To do this, they’ll be filling Fabra i Coats, Fàbrica de Creació i Centre d'Art Contemporani de Barcelona, with many kinds of activities and screenings with the aim of bringing the world of film and video closer to teenagers in the city. The festival will cover topics in different disciplines, such as radio creation, theatre, photography, animation, production, dubbing, special effects and much more. What’s more, you’ll have the chance to see the film Your Name by Makoto Shinkai in a free screening and the Merlí spin-off, MerlíSapere Aude. The festival will wind up with a huge concert of the most entertaining, epic and emotive film scores by the Barcelona Concert Band.

All Reteena activities will run on  7 and 8 December all day, starting from 10 am in Fabra i Coats, Sant Andreu.

Day tickets will cost €5 and two-day passes will cost €8. What’s more, there are free activities that you don’t need to register for. You can book your places on the Reteena website.
