Cinephone 2013 is a festival of short films made using mobile phones

Participants have until the 31st of August to present their projects

If you like making films and you are in possession of a mobile phone, Cinephone 2013 will make it easy for you to put your creativity to work. This is the second edition of the festival of short films made using mobile phones and it is directed at any amateur organisation or author over 18 years old. Participants may present as many films as they see fit. As of this month, Cinephone 2013 is open for the submission of projects, the deadline being the 31st of August. The projects must be original, unpublished and may not be more than 15 minutes long.

As a starting point for those who would like to see what can be achieved with just a mobile phone, the winners of the first edition of the festival will be shown, free of charge, in FNAC L’Illa this Saturday the 26th of January, at 7 pm. This projection will also serve as part of the presentation of this year’s edition.

Twenty finalists will be selected from all the shorts presented before the 31st of August, and those selected will battle for the public and jury prizes. All the terms and conditions are available on the festival web site.
