Classical music in the Museu del Modernisme Català
Concerts are being held during the months of July, August and September
Since last April, the main building of the Museu del Modernisme Català, on carrer Balmes, has been hosting classical music concerts in surroundings with fin de siècle vitrines and first-rate art deco furniture. Thus far, on the third Saturday of each month, performances have included the Orchestra Interpreti, the La Veu de Syrinx duo and the Ensamble Divina Mysteria.
With the arrival of summer, however, the concerts show no sign of abating, and the 20th of July sees the turn of the Quimera Trio, a formation consisting of guitar, violoncello and voice, featuring Javier Luque, Martín Meléndez and Alberto Pérez, respectively. August’s concert, on the 17th, will see a performance by Russian cellist Svetlana Tovstukha and the closing performance of the series will be the turn of the duo composed of Kobie du Plessis on harp and Giuliano Goguen on flute.
