MUSIC> BCN: a trip around the world through songs

In April we will have the opportunity to explore the history of music in two productions.

MUSIC> BCN is a cycle of commented concerts organized by Barcelona’s network of civic centres that aims to take spectators on a trip through the history of music, discovering, on the way, new instruments, harmonies and ways of understanding the genre through interacting with the musicians involved in the performances.

There are two concerts on the schedule for April. In ‘The rhythms of world music’, Mercè Morera and Marc Riera will take us on a tour of the  music of our world, crossing continents from Ireland to the music of the East, from Euskadi to Quebec, and from South America to Mexico, before returning to Catalonia. There will be performances on 4 April (CC Torre Llobeta), 5 April (CC Casa Groga), 11 April (CC Drassanes) and 26 April (CC Bon Pastor).

The other production on the agenda for 12 April at CC Bon Pastor is 'Flamenco and popular Iberian and Latin American music', in which singer Anna Colom and guitarist Marc López will draw a poetic comparison between different types of Hispanic music, underlining what they share and what divides them.

All the concerts in the cycle are free. Additional information is available at the following link.
