Concerts and screenings under the starlight

The CosmoNits open-air film and live music sessions are back.

Summer is coming and CosmoCaixa is bringing back the projections and concerts of the science fiction film cycle, the CosmoNits. Before the projections, you will enjoy live music thanks to the microconcerts, with the participation of local groups from the city. This year the selection of films is linked to the temporary exhibition of the museum The Sun. Living with our star and will be related to the current and future situation of our main energy source. The first two sessions of the cycle will take place on 7 July and 21 July.

CosmoNits will kick off on the evening of Thursday 7 July with a live concert by Miguel Ramos Trio, a group inspired by the "piano trio" tradition, who will play songs that evoke groups such as the Oscar Peterson Trio. This will be followed by the screening of Gravity, the film that tells the adventures of the crew members of an aerospace shuttle who, after suffering an accident in a rain of space junk, must manage to survive and return to Earth for not getting lost in the immensity of space.

The next session will be on Thursday 21 July. Once the microconcert of Mediterranean and Brazilian music by Carolina Alabau and Èlia Bastida is over, the film The Impossible will be screened, a film that tells the story of the disaster experienced by a family during the tsunami that devastated a large part of the Thai coast in December 2004.
