30 years of Guitar BCN

Concerts by local and international names to mark the anniversary of the festival.

Guitar BCN is one of Barcelona’s most long standing festivals and each edition offers an extensive programme of performances by leading artists associated with the guitar from both the local and the international scenes. This year sees the 30th anniversary of the festival with a line-up that promises to be memorable.

The concerts included in the festival will take place from 31 January to 10 July in a variety of venues around the city. The action will begin on 31 January with a performance by Fito Páez at l’Auditori. Joan Dausà will be playing at Sala Apolo on 22 February. On 3 March, Estrella Morente will be performing at the Gran Teatre del Liceu and will receive the Pua d'Or award from the festival for her contribution to music. There will also be performances by Nil Moliner at Sala BARTS on 8 March, Marta Soto at Luz de Gas on 15 March, Sidecars at BARTS on 23 and 24 March 23 and Víctor Manuel will be presenting the album  ‘Casi nada está en su sitio’ at Palau de la Música Catalana on 4 April. The festival will also feature appearances by Lax'N'Busto at BARTS on 10 May, Itaca Band at Razzmatazz on 11 May and Animal at Luz de Gas on 22 May, as well as concerts by artists such as Marcus Miller, Rosario, Lila Downs and Toto, among many others.
