Four intimate concerts in the main lecture hall at the University of Barcelona

The ‘Vespres d’hivern’ cycle begins at the UB, with concerts that run from dream pop art to indie flamenco.

The University of Barcelona has long been an interesting focus of musical activity and its grandiose great lecture hall, known as the paranimf, frequently finds itself transformed into an extraordinary concert hall. The latest example of this is an upcoming concert series featuring four emerging figures from the independent scene in Barcelona. The cycle is called Vespres d’hivern (Winter Evenings) and sees four concerts scheduled for every Friday in March.

The first date, on 2 March, features Jo Jet and Maria Ribot, an independent folk duet who will be presenting their latest delicate songs. The following Friday, 9 March, sees an appearance by Intana, a band that plays dreamlike, hypnotic pop. On Friday 16 March, it’s time for Julia, a duet specializing in interesting electronic pop. Things come to a close on Friday 23 March with the heterodox flamenco of María José Llergo and Marc López.

Invitations to these concerts can be requested at the following link.
