David Carabén, in the Teatre Romea

The concert on the 14th of July will inaugurate the series Off The Record, part of the programme for Grec 2013

David Carabén, vocalist with Mishima, has been entrusted the task of inaugurating the series titled ‘Off The Record’, part of this year’s programme for Grec 2013. Carabén will take to the stage accompanied by his four usual cohorts, Marc Lloret, Davi Vega, Xavi Caparrós and Alfons Serra.

Following a tour of almost a year and a half with their latest release, L’amor feliç, the repertoire promises to be more varied than usual for the band and the reason the event has been advertised differently is an attempt to shift the focus more onto the principle composer and lyric writer. The show will include recent songs that have undergone slight alterations, songs from the first releases which haven’t been heard live for some time as well as pieces by other songwriters in a similar vein to Carabén, such as announced songs by Noel Coward, Serge Gainsbourg and Randy Newman.

The intimate atmosphere of the Teatre Romea will also be hosting two other concerts, Raynald Colom, on the 21st, and Amparo Sánchez with Jazz Machín, on the 28th.
