De Flor en Flor

Poble Espanyol with more flowers than ever

The 4th edition of De Flor en Flor, the Flower and Garden Festival of Barcelona, is coming

We’re in the midst of Easter Week, and with it come the first springtime activities. And what better embodies this season than flowers? For the fourth year in a row, Poble Espanyol is hosting De Flor en Flor, the Flower and Garden Festival of Barcelona. The main attraction of this event is the plant and flower show organised by different groups, such as the Catalan Association of Friends of Orchids, and the Catalan Association of Friends of Bonsai. They will be accompanied by more experts taking their creations to Montjuïc so that everyone can see them. In addition to the show, the festival is filled with a host of activities which the whole family can enjoy. There will be live music and a large number of workshops which will help visitors even better understand and appreciate the world of plants. And for the most keenly curious visitors, a series of lectures by experts are being held on a variety of more specific topics.

Additionally, there will also be cultural events, such as an art installation made by Montana Colors and a film series from the International Environmental Film Festival. For the latter, short films set in nature and featuring its fauna will be shown to explain to children the importance of caring for environmental preservation. All of these activities will be held from the 19th to 22nd of April from 11 am to 7 pm at Poble Espanyol.

Tickets to enter the fairgrounds cost 6 euros if purchased online and 7 at the box office. You can find your tickets at the festival website.
