Barcelona’s Disseny Hub will play host to the market on 17 and 18 December
After four successful editions, it’s time for the return of a market that supports local design: DesignMarket will be open to visitors on 17 and 18 December at Disseny Hub Barcelona. The products and exhibitors at the market have been chosen the collectives that make up ADI-FAD. Their objective is to offer a showcase to creators whose work stands out for its quality and avant-garde design. There will be wide range of products on display, including household items, personal gadgets, ceramics, small furniture, books, toys, bags and backpacks, women’s, men’s and children’s clothes, all kinds of accessories, stationery items, contemporary jewellery and lots more besides.
Last year’s edition attracted over 15,000 people who took advantage of the market to do some of their Christmas shopping. And to make that experience more pleasant, the fair also offers a variety of design-related parallel activities, some of which are aimed at the whole family, as well as a kids’ area that will delight the younger members of the family. Visitors will also be able to catch art performances by young designers. Creativity will, therefore, be the key element in an environment designed by Preforma Design studio, which has created a show concept that will make this edition very different from previous ones and is based on the idea of “opening up the doors of the house”.
When: 17 and 18 December
