Disseny Hub Barcelona Building plays host to an exhibition entitled “Rojo”

Thirty or so brand names will display their home furnishing and fittings designs in an alternating exhibition mounted on a modular display platform

An exhibition entitled Rojo (Red) can be seen in the Disseny Hub Building beginning on the 20th of February. The exhibition has been organised by the collective RED (association of design companies) which currently includes 43 internationally renowned Spanish brand names and the BCD (Barcelona Design Centre).

The thirty-or-so products on display are at the forefront of the current international habitat and design scene and for the most part have been conceived, designed and manufactured in Spain. The objects are displayed on a modular display platform designed by the studio Arquitectura-G and as the exhibition progresses the platform is reconfigured so that the objects interact differently with their surroundings.

Armchairs, lamps, chairs, carpets... Rojo includes approximately thirty designs directly related to the furniture and fittings sector by brand names such as Actiu, Cosentino, Joquer, Lladró, Nanimarquina, Treku and Santa&Cole, among many others.

This itinerant exhibition first opened last summer in the Sala Vinçon and since then it has incorporated new designs and travelled to a number of locations, including the College of Architects in Madrid and the Stockholm Furniture Fair, before arriving in Barcelona. The exhibition can be seen in the Disseny Hub Barcelona Building up until the 20th of March.
