More than 230 activities at the civic centres in the 11th edition of the Barcelona Districte Cultural

The programme, which will run from February to April, wants to strengthen the link with people through proximity culture, to reach new audiences, and to find local talent.

The 11th edition of the Barcelona Districte Cultural (BDC) is around the corner, and bookings to attend one of the more than 230 performances, scheduled between February and April, are now open. There will be nine theatrical performances, nine concerts, four dance shows and six circus shows, distributed in 32 venues, most of them civic centres, in the 10 districts of the city. Its main goal, as always, is to strengthen the link with people through local culture and to reach new audiences as well as support local talent. Among all the editions that have been held so far, 128,000 people have enjoyed the activities of the BDC.

There will be plays for adult audiences, such as 200,000 dones by Cia. Cándida; Destination Moon, a collaboration between Paradiso 99 and the Tantarantana theatre; El que no es diu, by Cia. La Pocket; Blanca Desvelada by Cia. Aleteo Teatro; Alma, by LaBú Teatre; ¿Qué fue de Andrés Villarosa?, by Asociació Teorema Teatre; and Celebraré mi muerte, by Marcos Hourman. There will also be shows for family audiences such as Les sirenes són calbes by the Cia. DeLiri and La volta al món en 80 ties by Cia. La Protagonista. The concerts will also be varied, with Valeria Castro, Alison Darwin, Miss Raisa and La Prenda Roja taking the stage. In addition, La Reina will present her first album named Sóc jo, and Irene Roig Trio will bring some jazz.

When it comes to dancing, we would like to highlight Crisálida by Antes Collado and TERRA by Silver Drops Dansa. And in the circus realm, there will be shows such as HOME, by Cia. Cris-is, or the new production of Las Sistars, named Dai, ma aspetta.
