Enfocats 2014 gets underway
The new edition of the photography festival organised by the Pati Llimona centre takes place from the 5th to the 15th of March
The Centre Cívic Pati Llimona, in the heart of the Gothic district, is a self-titled “specialist in photography, the spoken word and audio-visuals”. It is no surprise, then, that the centre has decided to organise the Festival Enfocats, which, from the 5th to the 15th of March, will include exhibitions, chats, meetings, round table discussions and training sessions focusing on photography from contemporary and social responsibility perspectives.
For eleven days the events will be staged in the Pati Llimona centre as well as other facilities such as the Espao Nag, the Taller Milans, the Institut d'Estudis Fotogràfics de Catalunya and the Can Basté and Golferichs civic centres.
Beginning on the 5th, exhibitions in the Pati Llimona centre will include Desenterrant el silenci. Antoni Benaiges, el mestre que va prometre el mar, by Sergi Bernal, Vencidxs - Vençudes, by Aitor Fernández, La imatge de la setmana 2009-2013, a collection of photographs from the homonymous participative project organised by Barcelona Photobloggers, and an installation entitled "Photo # R" by the Fotomovimiento collective.
The festival also offers portfolio viewings by Juan de Dios Pérez, Pablo Coll and Silvia Omedes, a market for the display, sale and exchange of photographic materials and a digital photography post-production workshop by Edu Mattas and Peppino Molina d’Addretouch, among other activities.
