Festa del Roser

Festa del Roser fills La Rambla with activities

After 57 years, this festival continues to bring us popular activities, tours, exhibitions, concerts and other events.

Festa del Roser has been held every year without fail since 1962 thanks to Amics de La Rambla. This celebration is designed so Barcelona residents and visitors alike can enjoy one of the city's most emblematic avenues. Over these days, culture, recreational activities and popular activities all have their place on a programme that invites everyone to occupy the public space and live La Rambla to the fullest. The 57th Festa del Roser will have both traditional and new activities, all with flowers at the core, highlighting the close ties between these plants and La Rambla. One of the purposes of the festival is to raise awareness of Barcelona's cultural and architectural heritage. So, for one week, you can rediscover one of Barcelona's main avenues with tours of emblematic buildings, walking tours, open-doors days, concerts, exhibitions, popular meals and much, much more. There’s something for everyone.

All of the Festa del Roser activities will be held from 5 to 11 October at various times and in different spots along La Rambla. Some of the most noteworthy are the rides on the Golondrina boats, open-doors days at Palau Güell, a popular hot chocolate event, free tickets to the aquarium, tours of the Liceu and Royal Academy of Sciences and Arts of Barcelona, and exhibitions at Arts Santa Mònica and La Virreina Centre de la Imatge.

All of the activities are free, although you have to book ahead for some of them. More information is available on the Amics de La Rambla website.
