6thannual Jazzing, the Sant Andreu Jazz Festival

Fabra i Coats will fill with concerts, jam sessions, workshops and masterclasses with international artists.

Joan Chamorro, one of the biggest names in Catalan ambient jazz, is the head of Jazzing, the Sant Andreu Jazz Festival, now in its sixth year. Over four days, Fabra i Coats will be filled with a wide variety of activities associated with jazz, blues, soul, and more. The main event, as every year, will be the dozen concerts. Some of these include the Gerard Nieto Reunion Three, Martí Serra Quartet, Scott Hamilton & Dick Oatts, Irene Reig & The Bop Collective Octet, Joe Magnarelli & Fredrik Norén, Andrea Motis and Èlia Bastida, and Codina Sauqué Quintessence. New this year, there will be a Jazz Education Stage: a space for debates, chats, open rehearsals, presentations and masterclasses on this genre. These activities are designed for all sorts of audiences: teachers, professors, young people and adults interested in learning about the world of jazz, professionals, fans and anyone interested in teaching and music in general.

This year’s Jazzing festival is being held a bit earlier, from 5 to 8 September, at various times, at Fabra i Coats – Fàbrica de Creació.

There are several package ticket options for Jazzing. The full package, which includes the Jazz Education Stage, costs €250. If you prefer only the concerts, the package tickets cost €70. You can also get tickets for some concerts individually, at €20 each. You can get your tickets on the festival website.
