Film therapies
What is the role of scientific and medical knowledge in the movies? And what is the role of cinema in the generation, distribution and management of this knowledge?
In April, every Tuesday evening (except 23) the Ateneu Barcelonès and the Centre d' Història de la Ciència (CEHIC-UAB invites us to 'Film Therapies. II film, science and medicine series', a cycle that aims to explore how film reflects on science and health, and how it contributes to the construction process of this knowledge.
All sessions are free and will begin at 19:30 in the Sala Oriol Bohigas the Ateneu Barcelonès (C / Canuda, 6).

A is for Atom (Carl Urbano, 1953) and The War Game (Peter Watkins, 1965), two films are virtually unknown to the general public. However, and especially with the possibility of seeing them together, we have the potential to get into the complicated and often contradictory cultural construction mechanisms of nuclear physics in the middle of the last century.
